in the Catskills. Each weekend begins Friday evening
and goes through Sunday breakfast or brunch. Prices include two nights
accommodations, meals, and a chance to win some great prizes (including
a free weekend at participating resorts) if you solve the mystery.
Oklahoma's Haunted Stone Lion Inn in historic Guthrie (OK, map) produces themed Murder Mysteries from the 1920s, 30s, or 40s. Guests are assigned a character to play and a short biography and are provided with suggestions for dress, time to arrive, and actual news stories about the events of the era in which the murder occurs.
The Mystery of Gold Rush and Beans is presented at Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse in Boiling Springs (PA, map).
